I’m Jade/
As in Jaded
As in Jaded tongue
As in forked tongue
Speaking the truth
My truth
Held in for so long
It reflects in the
color of my eyes
Jade green that
change to a clear blue
Jade green as in Jaded
Clear blue ocean waves
washing over me, through me
in the form of tears
Washing away the Jade green
Bringing back the clear blue
Representing the peace within
That I haven’t seen for so long
Consistent, though, is the
Ring of gold at the center
The Ring of FIRE at the center
That flares up when I flare up
